1. Overview

Continio exists to preserve continuity of conversations while keeping users in control of their data. This policy explains what information we collect, how it's used, and how you can control it.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide

• Messages you send within Continio
• Files or text you upload
• Feedback or support requests
• Account details (email, name) if you create an account

Automatically collected

• Basic technical logs (IP address, device type, timestamps)
• Usage data necessary to operate the service (e.g. message counts)

We collect only what's required to provide continuity and maintain service reliability.

3. How we use information

We use your information to:

• Provide and maintain the Continio service
• Preserve conversation continuity across sessions
• Improve reliability and performance
• Respond to support requests
• Prevent abuse or misuse

We don't use your data for advertising or behavioural profiling.

4. Memory and continuity

Continio may store context you explicitly provide to maintain continuity across conversations.

You remain in control:

• You can edit or delete stored context
• You can request deletion of your account and data
• We don't infer personal details without your input

5. Connecting Google

Connecting Google is optional. Continio works without it.

What we ask for. One permission: Google Calendar, read-only. It lets Continio see the calendars on your Google account and the events on them. Continio never creates, edits, moves or deletes anything in your calendar, and never writes to it in any form.

What we do with it. When you connect, Continio reads your events and turns the ones that matter into short memories: a trip, an appointment, a commitment, the people you are seeing. Those memories are stored in your Continio account and shown to you in My Context, tagged so you can always see they came from your calendar. Continio keeps reading your calendar while you stay connected, so the memories stay current. It is not a copy of your calendar. Most events never become a memory at all.

Who else sees it. Turning a calendar event into a memory means sending that event to an AI model provider, which does the reading. Today that provider is OpenAI, and it is the only company your Google Calendar data reaches. They process it only to produce that result, on our instructions, and are not permitted to use it to train their models.

Other people on your events. Calendar events often include other people. Continio uses that only to build your memories, so you are reminded who you are seeing and when. It does not build a profile of anyone else, and it never contacts them.

What we keep. Your memories stay in your account until you remove them, and you can delete any single memory at any time. Your Google access is stored encrypted and is used only to read your calendar.

Disconnecting. You can disconnect Google from Continio at any time, in Settings. When you do, we delete your stored Google access immediately, and we ask whether you want to keep or delete the memories Continio built from your calendar. That choice is yours.

Taking access away from Google's side. As well as disconnecting in Continio, you can remove Continio's access from your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Continio stops being able to read your calendar immediately. Memories already built stay in your account until you delete them.

Limited Use. Continio's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically: we do not sell your Google data; we do not use it for advertising or to build advertising profiles; we do not use it to train AI models, ours or anyone else's; and we do not let people read it except where you have asked us to, where it is needed for security, or where the law requires it.

6. Third-party services

Continio uses trusted third-party providers to operate:

• AI model providers (e.g. OpenAI, Anthropic) to generate responses
• Payment processors (e.g. Stripe) to handle billing
• Hosting providers to run the service

These providers process data only as necessary to deliver functionality. We don't allow third parties to use your data for marketing.

7. Data retention

We retain account data while your account is active. Google access tokens are deleted immediately on disconnect. Saved memory is retained until you delete it or close your account, after which it's deleted within 30 days. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting hello@continio.app.

8. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. However, no system is completely secure, and you use the service at your own risk.

9. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access your data, correct inaccurate data, request deletion, or restrict processing. Contact us at hello@continio.app.

We may update this policy to reflect improvements or legal requirements. We'll update the "Last updated" date when changes occur.

Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By using Continio, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

2. Service description

Continio is a continuity-focused AI chat service designed to preserve conversational context across sessions. The service is provided "as is" and may evolve over time.

3. Accounts and access

You're responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and all activity under it. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Continio to:

• Violate laws or regulations
• Harass, abuse, or harm others
• Distribute malicious software
• Attempt to access other users' data
• Use the service for unlawful surveillance

We reserve the right to suspend access for misuse.

5. AI limitations

Continio uses AI systems that may produce incorrect or incomplete information. AI responses aren't professional advice. You're responsible for decisions made using the service.

6. Payments and subscriptions

Paid plans renew automatically unless cancelled. You may cancel at any time. Access continues until the end of the billing period. After the 15-day free trial, you'll be prompted to add a card and select a plan to continue with paid features. If you don't, your account reverts to a free state with limited access. Refunds are handled according to our refund policy.

7. Data and ownership

You retain ownership of the content you submit. By using Continio, you grant us a limited licence to process your content solely to provide the service. We don't claim ownership of your data.

8. Service availability

We aim for reliable service but don't guarantee uninterrupted availability. We aren't liable for data loss, downtime, or service interruptions.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Continio isn't liable for indirect or consequential damages, loss of data or profits, or decisions made using AI output. Use the service at your own risk.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom.

Refund Policy

Last updated: February 2026

Subscriptions

All subscriptions are billed in advance and are non-refundable once the billing period begins.

You may cancel at any time, and your access will continue until the end of the current billing period.

Free trial

Continio offers a 15-day free trial with no card required. You won't be charged during the trial period.

To continue using paid features after the trial, you'll be prompted to add payment details and select a plan. If no plan is selected, your account will revert to a free state with limited functionality. We don't provide refunds for charges that occur after a paid subscription has begun, but you can cancel any time and access continues until the end of the billing period.
