1. Overview
Continio exists to preserve continuity of conversations while keeping users in control of their data. This policy explains what information we collect, how it is used, and how you can control it.

We collect only what is required to provide continuity and maintain service reliability.
3. How We Use Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and maintain the Continio service
- Preserve conversation continuity across sessions
- Improve reliability and performance
- Respond to support requests
- Prevent abuse or misuse
We do not use your data for advertising or behavioural profiling.
4. Memory & Continuity
Continio may store context you explicitly provide to maintain continuity across conversations.
You remain in control:
- You can edit or delete stored context
- You can request deletion of your account and data
- We do not infer personal details without your input
5. Connecting Google
If you choose to connect your Google account to Continio, this section explains what we access, what we do with it, and what we don't do.
What we access. You decide which Google data Continio can see by choosing what to allow on Google's sign-in screen. We currently ask for:
- Google Calendar (read-only). We read your calendar events, attendees, times, locations, and notes so Continio can answer questions like "what's on tomorrow" or remember context from a meeting you mentioned.
What we do with it. Google data is only used to provide features you've asked for inside Continio. When you ask Continio about your calendar, we read the relevant events and use them to generate a response.
Calendar events you reference may be saved into your Continio memory so the context persists across sessions. Anything saved from Google data is clearly labelled with its source, so you can see where it came from and remove it at any time.
What we don't do. We follow Google's Limited Use requirements. Specifically:
- We don't sell your Google data
- We don't use your Google data for advertising or to build advertising profiles
- We don't use your Google data to train AI models, ours or anyone else's
- We don't let humans read your Google data, except where you've given explicit consent, where it's needed to investigate a security issue, or where required by law
Third-party processing. To generate responses, Continio sends conversation context (which may include relevant Google data) to AI providers such as Anthropic and OpenAI. These providers process the data only to produce a response and don't retain it afterwards. We don't transfer Google data to any other third party.
How long we keep it. Google access tokens are stored encrypted and only used to fetch data when you actively ask for it. If you disconnect Google from Continio, we delete the tokens immediately. Anything saved into your Continio memory from Google data stays until you delete it or close your account.
How to disconnect. You can revoke Continio's access to your Google account at any time, either from Continio's settings or from your Google account permissions page at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Revoking access immediately stops Continio from reading any further Google data.
6. Third-Party Services
Continio uses trusted third-party providers to operate:
- AI model providers (e.g. OpenAI, Anthropic) to generate responses
- Payment processors (e.g. Stripe) to handle billing
- Hosting providers to run the service
These providers process data only as necessary to deliver functionality. We do not allow third parties to use your data for marketing.
7. Data Retention
We retain account data while your account is active. Google access tokens are deleted immediately on disconnect. Saved memory is retained until you delete it or close your account, after which it is deleted within 30 days. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting hello@continio.app.
8. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. However, no system is completely secure, and you use the service at your own risk.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access your data, correct inaccurate data, request deletion, or restrict processing. Contact us at hello@continio.app.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy to reflect improvements or legal requirements. We will update the "Last updated" date when changes occur.

Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of Terms
By using Continio, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Service Description
Continio is a continuity-focused AI chat service designed to preserve conversational context across sessions. The service is provided "as is" and may evolve over time.
3. Accounts & Access
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and all activity under it. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Continio to:
- Violate laws or regulations
- Harass, abuse, or harm others
- Distribute malicious software
- Attempt to access other users' data
- Use the service for unlawful surveillance
We reserve the right to suspend access for misuse.
5. AI Limitations
Continio uses AI systems that may produce incorrect or incomplete information. AI responses are not professional advice. You are responsible for decisions made using the service.
6. Payments & Subscriptions
Paid plans renew automatically unless cancelled. You may cancel at any time. Access continues until the end of the billing period. After the 15-day free trial, you will be prompted to add a card and select a plan to continue with paid features. If you do not, your account reverts to a free state with limited access. Refunds are handled according to our refund policy.
7. Founder Plan Terms
Founder plans are limited-availability offers. Benefits include price lock and early feature access. Founder status does not grant ownership, equity, or decision-making authority.
8. Data & Ownership
You retain ownership of the content you submit. By using Continio, you grant us a limited licence to process your content solely to provide the service. We do not claim ownership of your data.
9. Service Availability
We aim for reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We are not liable for data loss, downtime, or service interruptions.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Continio is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, loss of data or profits, or decisions made using AI output. Use the service at your own risk.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom.

Refund Policy
Subscriptions
All subscriptions are billed in advance and are non-refundable once the billing period begins. This includes the Founders plan.
You may cancel at any time, and your access will continue until the end of the current billing period.
Free Trial
Continio offers a 15-day free trial with no card required. You will not be charged during the trial period.
To continue using paid features after the trial, you will be prompted to add payment details and select a plan. If no plan is selected, your account will revert to a free state with limited functionality. We do not provide refunds for charges that occur after a paid subscription has begun, but you can cancel any time and access continues until the end of the billing period.
